The next job…

Norbert and shore crew processing the ultimate checking on mast before the transport.

is the final inspection of mast and rig. ⛵

All starts with a proper cleaning and small paint repairs because during this procedure you have a very detailed lock on all the parts. 🧽🪣🖌️🎨👀✅

Of course, we also did load tests and changed several running riggings, the VHF-Antennas, modified the wind indicator and many more. On that point many thanks to Robline, our partner for all running rigging, because the material is super performed, long lasting and the communication with the staff works perfect. 🪢⛵✅

Finally, we also tried to put as much of the experience we’ve gained over the past few years regarding mast, boom and rig’s functionality into practice and we gave him the last “icing on the cake”, the perfect Volcano-Look 🌋 😊

Mast and boom ready for transport, stored in the shipyard.

Norbert is holding the starboard steering bar that doesn't fit anymore in its place because of a twisted ball joint.

Just a small, unassuming part…

but with an all the more important job! ⚙️ This bolt connects the starboard rudder to the control arm and apparently took quite a beating
